The Gillian Moore
School of Dance offers dance lessons in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Spanish
Flamenco in a positive learning environment at well equipped studios in Papamoa
and in Te Puke.
The School strives to provide
pupils with self confidence, grace, co-ordination, musicality, discipline and an
appreciation of the arts. Students are given the opportunity to perform at an
annual dance production.
The Principal of the school is Gillian Moore, ARAD,
Teachers Diploma in Ballet (University of Cape Town), Primer Ano Estudiante
(Spanish Dance Society), Registered Teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and
the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance.
The School follows the Royal Academy of Dance Graded
and Vocational examinations and the NZAMD Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop syllabus. BBO exams are also offered. Students
are encouraged to enter for exams and assessments as this ensures that the
continued high standard of the school is maintained.
