Director
Gillian Moore
A.R.A.D, Dip in Ballet, (University of Cape Town) Registered Teacher R.A.D. BBO
and NZAMD)
Gillian trained in South Africa and has taught, lectured, examined and
adjudicated for 30 years. Gillian served on the Regional Advisory Panel of the
Royal Academy of Dance for many years and managed a private ballet school as
well as teaching for the Department of Education in Cape Town.
Gillian has many past pupils who have continued their careers as professional
dancers and teachers. Since moving to New Zealand, Gillian Qualified as a Social
Worker whilst at the same time establishing the Dance School in Papamoa. The
school has established itself as a highly acclaimed Dance School in the Tauranga
area.
Sue Weaver
Sue is a fully qualified Tap (BBO) and Jazz (JDNZ, NZAMD) teacher and danced and
taught in Taranaki and Auckland before moving to Tauranga. Sue has had a long
career dancing in theatre, competitions and grade work and is classically
trained by Val Deakin. Sue has taught for many years and teaches Tap, Hip Hop
and Jazz at the studio.
Jo Rostron
Jo was born in the UK and danced since the age of 5. Jo studied at the Laine
Theatre Arts School in Epsom and studied Ballet and Modern( RAD and ISTD), Jazz
and National- completing all her exams to advanced level before dancing
professionally for a number of years.
Victoria Koch
Olivia has received dance training since she was 7. In this time she achieved
her Grade 8 Award in Ballet and also her RAD Intermediate. Victoria has her Solo
Performance Diploma in Modern Jazz and Tap.
Laura Mansell
Laura has danced for 18 years and done extensive training in Jazz completing all
her American Jazz exams to Advanced 2. Laura has done choreography for musical
productions and has been teaching for 8 years.
Observation and Feedback
Parents are welcome to observe classes through the viewing window. The last week
of every term parents will be allowed into the studio or dance room to observe
classes. You are kindly requested not to talk and to switch all mobile phones
off when entering the Dance studio. No photographs or videos to be taken during
lesson. Should you wish discuss the pupils progress please arrange a time
outside of lesson time.
